2. We know there's life on Earth.

Doesn't work that way.

So how do we do that? Do we know what "life" looks like, do we know what "life" does or why it does what it does even IF it did?
We as Humans know only human. We awake each day, we see and experience our world everyday the same way, it's three dimensional and we operate in the direction of time interacting in our own little three dimensional experience, nothing more and nothing less. As a result, we can only expect to know what we know.
And, what we <i>do not</i> know, we imagine it so.
In our imagination, we visualize a world still in three dimensions but project our imagination through a pseudo time lapse, something alone the lines of reality but, we can stop and start because we can <i>imagine</i> time the way we want it to be for as long as we determine it to be - but only in our imagination.
So with these limitations, attempting to recognize another life which could transcend these boundaries would require us to; try to do the same if we want to experience their reality, otherwise, no cigar! Is this an easy process? Not even!
In the process of analyzing Martian imagery, the first order is to re-program our mind to expect to see something which does not conform to our imagination. Sounds like an oxymoron but not impossible.
When we look at an object, we can see in two dimensions, and/or in pseudo 3D. In 2D we have to put our imagination to task and imagine depth of field but in 3D this is helped by the magic of 2 1/2" being the distance between our eyes and viola! Depth of field.
But still, even with 3D assistance, we may gaze upon an "alien thing" and never realize we are staring at a manifestation of their reality. And, as result, just pass it right on by.
So we look for things based on our limited Human chauvinism and this is why we see so much data of artifacts that "look like" something that appears "familiar" - like a rock that looks like a WW2 German helmet for example.
So let's see if we can see something different -
In the clip below, you will see a manifestation of the alien life that was clipped just outside the so-called "Grand Cave" located about "center stage" in Image ESP_013772_1795. (The coordinates are available if you need the location).
So what is it? Well, I don't know. It does bare the signature of what is their "trademark" and if you look closely, you will see just how fantastic this life form manifests - truly remarkable <i>if</i> you can allow your mind to "wrap around it"!
